I have been wondering when these models would appear on the Route 66 Model Car Store website. At the October show I purchased the red and white 1962 Olds Starfire and the 1942 Blue Desoto. The picture of the blue car does not look correct.

The 1962 Oldsmobile in Cameo Cream is particularly attractive for me i like the color but i have at least one in 1:18 in black with the roof white and also i am waiting to see some pictures of these six first models based on the cars in the NB Center collection before take a decision. Too much models at a high price for me in same time.
Ed: I believe that you are correct. He is showing a picture of a blue 1942 Oldsmobile convertible on his website in error instead of the dark blue 1942 Desoto convertible. I purchased the dark brown Desoto convertible and love it. I believe that the picture of the brown Desoto convertible with a maroon interior is also incorrect. The car I received is a darker brown with a tan interior. I chose dark brown for variety to go with my dark blue 1947 Plymouth and my light green 1947 Dodge. Both of them are basically left over 1942 styling.
Yes, there are many new models arriving this fall. I did not buy much during first half of this year. However, I bought two at the October show and have three more coming. These will be NABCC 1956 Buick, Elmo yellow/black Buick GSX, and 1957 DeSoto from Buz. Then there will be the NB Center models, waiting to see pictures and availability of them.

Was the DeSoto ever issued in a coupe? The Starfire looks excellent in the cream, but since I now have 6 of these (red/white just arrived) I gotta pass-with so many other models coming-my money is going fast.

John, I don't believe the DeSoto was made as a coupe in white metal. I have a coupe made years ago by Victory who also made a convertible in resin. My guess is that Buz will be doing a coupe sometime in the near future. I have the Victory models and they are excellent. I bought Buz' 42 DeSoto in blue and as expected it too is an excellent model.
@jcarnutz The closest you might get is a 1946-48 Desoto business coupe in resin by Kagar, a transkit for a Vitesse. Here is one plus a Chrysler New Yorker business coupe on which I extended the front clip to represent the 8 cylinder car.

Forgot to add there is also a 1946-48 Desoto club coupe by Kagar.

I've not seen any of these Krager coupes before. I do have a very beautiful coupe by Victory which I love. I just hope to get one in white metal someday.
