ZIS-101A details
The visual clues are mostly in the nose shape. The earlier 101 model has a slanted grille with chevron-shaped bars. This later 101A model has the rounded nose with horizontal bars.
Comrade Stalin would be riding in a black car for sure. Majority of these limos were colored black for the party officials. Very few if any would be available to the general public, so this dark red color is questionable.
In terms of origin, they are most closely related to Buicks. Production had to stop due to WWII, after which Packards became the favorites to rip off in the late 40's and 50's.
I have this model too, from the IST range. If you have the podium, you might see a funny error - the year is shown as 1963 instead of 1936. The parent company (PCT) has re-used the molds for various partworks - typically in black and with less detailing.
If one prefers a handmade model - all of these ZIS's were made by Ukrainian company Kherson Models in galvanized copper. Being released in the 90's, in terms of detail and quality it's a toss-up between them and the newer IST diecast.

I think it looks more Oldsmobile than Nash? sure no Packard clone!
