A true eye-catcher, both as a model and, if it were ever built this way, as a 1:1. John Robert made some magnificent dream cars. Thanks for sharing, Mike, and belated congratulations on your win. David H
Mike,
I also own this model (in red however) I am a big fan of the '56 Lincoln. FYI. Lincoln color coordinated the convertible boot to the body color. I would suggest painting the boot black. I painted mine red, and the model just pops. The design of the car just flows without the jarring white.

Thanks. There's no doubt the beautiful Premiere would also look magnificent that way. Yet, I also like it in this style, too, so I will probably keep it as a "John Roberts Original" Lincoln. A future 1/43 '56 Premiere for me perhaps may have the dark boot color and both my convertible top-down 1956 Premieres in 1/18 feature either a light or a black boot. Although for now I replaced the original white boot on the yellow SunStar Lincoln with a easily-replaceable low-profile black one. Hardtop, top up or top down with a dark or light boot, you can't go wrong with such a gorgeous Fifties luxury liner !
