PICS: New models from Brooklin
The two models below are due for release next week. I think the Buick looks a cracker.

This one's the Bristol 408

If you haven't looked yet, this week's Brooklin photos are on line.
I agree on the Buick, Mike. But...the interior needs...something. Time for a JR Special!

The interior might look more convincing John, if there was a greater amount of detail, door handles, window winders, gear stick etc., but then, as usual, the cost factor comes into play.
I get it and agree Mike. I think Brooklins are some of the best values we have available today
And...they have certainly upped their game on top of that. To make things even better, we have folks like our own JR if we want to embellish them. As far as I can see, we are in the Golden Age of 1/43rd!

Thanks, Mike. I like the Buick & have the coupe, but here's an MM of note. (pic)

On the other hand, I buy more Brooklins than Mini Marques for a variety of reasons, including price. But the MM phaeton really shows off its interior. On this week's photos on the Brooklin site, there are pictures showing BRK's improving of details. Look at the exacting work done on the tail light/ license plate of the upcoming Oldsmobile, and then admire the side mounts on this Buick phaeton. These fender-mounted spares are great! They're a real improvement over the single spare on the coupe. I have been struggling with the two side mounts on my Auto Replicas Packard project and it's really rough going. My effort makes me appreciate BRK's increasing mastery of detailing.
brooklin details
I would have thought most of us would not mind if brooklin upped their prices to accomodate things like a better interior. I find it terribly dissappointing when you have a good model like this Buick and then you have this bland interior which defeats the whole purpose of producing a good model. My view is our hobby has come a long way in the last couple of years and now with the likes of expensive resin models, Brooklin needs to up its finishing if it is to stay in the same league.
Mike, all are beautiful, but the Ford Zephyr when will be ready ?
Brooklin Details
Certainly would like to see more interior detail especially on top down Brooklins. However, I wonder what the price would be? I like the MMs too but can't collect too many because of the price.
Bodies have been sprayed for the Zephyr.
Colour is Carlisle Blue which is a very pale shade. Interior will be dark blue. The models are not on the benches yet. The range of colours for the Consul and Zephyr was quite limited on debut in 1956. Black, grey, two shades of green, two shades of blue and light beige. I haven't put in all the fancy names! Colours like red, yellow and coral would follow in 1957.
Many tank's for the info John !!
My pleasure Renato!
I agree with Tim; it's 2012 and we're getting more demanding as collectors...
but for now, I'll probably buy the Buick and try to find some source for interior door handles, cranks, etc. Does anyone know of any? Boy, it's a terrific Buick otherwise.
I understand the Zephyr will be coming in March, Renato
I'll post information on my web site when I've got more definite details.
