PICS....While in Countryside I was asked to do a repost of my diorama. Hope it is okay with everyone
I made this cabinet with the dimensions of 25x74x41. In hindsight it should have been 36 deep instead of 25. Maybe the next one? As you can see I haven't added the glass yet. All custom cut and will get around to it one of these days.

My original thought was to highlight the Gulf Race Team at Le Mans in a dio. Then I got carried away a little bit and started collecting ALL the cars from 1970's Le Man. This turned out to be a long process hunting down the cars. Most of which are not available any longer or were never made in 1:43. For example the 911 Porsche. Very hard to find any at all. My solution was to buy and decal the cars myself. I'm a total novice with making decal so thru much trial and error I finally came up with some of them. More hunting and buying over the course of two years gave me many of the decals I needed. Also you might notice there have been a few changes to cars that were not available to me in my price range. These cars I had to modify myself. All three of the Matra-Simca cars fall in this category.
Anyway.....I hope you enjoy.

This GELO Team transport was something I put together from combining and scratch building with styrene.

Like I had said above it all started with Gulf. Partly because of the movie with Steve McQueen and I just liked how they looked.

What is seen above the dio on the two shelves are all my Lotus Transports and cars.
An outstanding diorama ! The display cabinet looks excellent and is filled with some terrific 1/43 replicas.
Hey, it also features the cleanest, clearest glass I have EVER seen in a display ! (LOL, just kidding .... get that glass in there so evil Mr. Dust doesn't come calling.)

Outstanding Tom! And great seeing you last weekend.
I plead guilty!
Yes, I was the one who asked you to re-post (somehow I missed these the first time around). But I'm glad I asked you to do this -- Tom, your work here is outstanding and the pictures are terrific. Well worth seeing the first time and hopefully others enjoyed the "recycle" too.
Was great meeting you and talking with you last weekend! Thanks for taking the time to post these again.

Brilliant work, Tom! I am glad you added the AR sign to the roof; the paddock is easier to find now!
Thanks. U2. Love the Spyder.
Thanks Chris
A great pleasure to see this post. Many thanks, Tom.
