@jack-dodds No sir, not Peter either.....
I thought JayBee could relate to that one......
they thought too little of my skill to let me drive a "Pete".....let alone go to Pete`s house
@jack-dodds I don't know. It was just there with no one around, so I got a pic.
Dodge and Chrysler - a good combination! To be more precise, it was Dodge's secretary's house! WoW!!!
Is that Meadowbrook the Dodges built?
@karl Bingo! Technically you are correct of course.
Matilda Rausch once worked for John Dodge and eventually married him. John Dodge along with his brother Horace, co-founded the Dodge motor car company in Detroit. After his death in 1920, Matilda was ranked as one of the wealthiest women in the world; she then married her 2nd husband, lumber baron, Alfred Wilson.
Their 88,000 sq ft "house" took 3 years to build and was completed in 1929, in what is now known as Rochester Hills, MI. (Oakland County)
In 1957, Matilda & Alfred donated their 1,400 acre estate (their "house" & property) to Michigan State (MSU ), thereby creating the Oakland campus of MSU.
Today, their house, now known as Meadow Brook Hall, sits proudly within the campus of Oakland University.
@bob-jackman Yes, yes, it is. Actually, John Dodge passed away and his widow and her second husband built it. (SEE ABOVE )
@jack-dodds I re-phrased it in the form of a question... like Jeopardy. I had the right answer, but David V. beat me to it. That's when I decided to add the "Dodge house."

You have to get up pretty early in the morning to beat David V.
Btw....are you aware that our own Paul Rouffa is a previous Jeopardy winner?
@jack-dodds What is: "No, I did not know that." 😏 😏

Well he is....seriously! Very impressive IMO. I watch the show regularly and realize just how difficult it is to know the answers, let alone the ability to recall them so quickly!

@ed-davis I believe it was many years ago but Paul was kind enough to allow us to view a clip of it. John K. may have more details.
