I have this 1/43 1954 Mercury Sun Valley that I bought a million years ago which I'm cleaning and re-assembling because the adhesive completely disintegrated which, while a pain in the butt, allowed be to clean everything with Novus 1 especially for all the transparent panels. It's pale yellow and dark green metallic and it has an inspector's name on a tag and says 'Made in Argentina. I figured it was an old Goldvarg but researching it, it seems like it was from a company called Buby. Did Goldvarg have anything to do with Buby, or is the Argentine origin just a coincidence? Also, are these models still collectible? Sorry, but 1/43 models are not really my forte.

Buby is very collectible.... Goldvarg's own website saiys:
During the mid-eighties, Sergio Goldvarg was Advisor for Buby, an Argentine diecast manufacturer, as he was involved in the design of decorations for their “Mini-Buby” models (the Renault 12 , Renault 18, Chevy trucks, among others).
Buby made a lot of toy cars but this is part of their Collector's Classics:

@karl Thanks, Karl. That solves a bit of mystery. That Sun Valley seems a pretty well done model for its age especially after having it completely disassembled. LOL
