I've always liked Brooklin's '49 Oldsmobiles. Lots of potential for detailing. I'm thinking about getting a Brooklin '49 Olds coupe. It would make a good canvas for a custom rod, you know, custom wheels & tires and candy paint job. Just waiting until I find one at a bargain price.
@kenspear, you're right, Ken. Most Brooklins make a really good canvas for detailing and mods. Make sure you take pics of yours as you make it. I'll try to keep an eye out as well. Meanwhile, check this one out.

Thanks John. Yes, I saw that one. After looking at the "solds", I noticed that 3 have gone for below $80. I'm in no hurry as I have about five models lined up that I will be working on over the summer: a Western Models 1958 Plymouth Belvedere kit that I will be making into a 1957 Belvedere 2 dr htp, a Brooklin 1955 Dodge that I will be converting into a convertible and 3 Record 1952 kits:a '52 Pontiac convertible, a '52 Chev 4 dr sedan and a "52 Chev 2 door fastback. I'm just finishing up a Brooklin 1954 Nash Ambassador convertible, a 1958 Chrysler Windsor Dartline 4 dr sdn, and a 1906 Cadillac Osceola coupe with working LED lights. Hope to post pictures over the next month.
A nice quick look at this great Oldsmobile. Fine model of this all-time American car.
