Somewhere on Highway 99 between Bakersfield and Fresno in California's central valley circa 1957. The young speeder in his '32 3 window coupe with the loaded flathead is meeting the strong arm of the law of the California Highway Partol. Another day, another ticket. The '57 Chevy, '54 Mercury and of course the '55 Buick are all Brooklin. The '32 Ford is my build.
Fine models here telling a story in the Bakersfield-Fresno area, circa 1957 ! All these replicas look great and fit the scene beautifully.
Bet they had some Gene Vincent and Elvis tunes rockin from the radio!

James Dean, on Friday September 30, 1955 while driving a 550 RSK Porsche Spyder, got pulled over by a CHP, (likely driving a 1955 Buick), for speeding somewhere south of Bakersfield on hwy 99 only a hour or so before his untimely accident and death in Cholame at the junction of hwy 46 and 41. Hit by Donald Turnipseed, a student at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo driving a customized 1950 Ford coupe.
