Subaru’s first attempt at marketing a product in the U.S. was the 360. Consumer Report deemed it “Not Recommended” as it was too small, under powered, and unsafe. But Subaru’s doing pretty well now! Ebbro issued this nice little model in 1:43.

I don't think Subaru marketed these in Canada in the 60s as I don't recall ever seeing or hearing of one. I think Toyota and Datsun had just began selling in Canada around 1967-68 though.
I have this homely model in my collection because a friend has a 1/1.

Back in the late sixties Subaru opened a dealership in our neighborhood. They had two of the these cars displayed in a very tiny showroom. I couldn't imagine how anyone could fit in one of those cars. If those guys held on they're multi-multi millionaires today.
