The 360 was Subaru’s entry into the manufacture of automobiles.  Built from 1958-1971 essentially unchanged, 392,000 copies were made.  They were snappy little cars but would be rolling death traps on today’s highways.  Their value now, however, is increasing in the collectors’ market.  Now, of course, Subaru has among the highest safety ratings of any manufacturer.  Here with a 360 is a current Outback promotional model.

In 1969 someone opened a Subaru "dealership" in my neighborhood. They had 2 of the 360's,both white, in the small storefront.  I don't know how an American could fit into one. If the dealer hung on he's a very wealthy man today.

Subarus, particularly Outbacks, are hugely popular in my town, thanks in part to a small town dealership in a relatively new facility just down the road. Here's my 360 in blue.

Harv, that blue one is a beautiful color on that car.  Ebbro did it in three colors and like the actual 360 prices for these Ebbro models have risen in recent years. I was able to acquire these some years ago at a reasonable price. Today they are hard to find.
