Today's post is taking a step back - well a few years back - 1942 ... The reason for the step back is this is a new addition to my collection; one I've been hunting for a while. I just finished up the photos last night. I am very pleased to have finally found one of these.

1942 DeSoto DeLuxe Coupe, CON 72, in Pearl Gray

1942 DeSoto DeLuxe Cpe G0
1942 DeSoto DeLuxe Cpe G1
1942 DeSoto DeLuxe Cpe G4
1942 DeSoto DeLuxe Cpe G5
1942 DeSoto DeLuxe Cpe G6
1942 DeSoto DeLuxe Cpe G7

Very, very nice!  I wasn't aware there was a coupe version of this model done.

CONGRATS on the great find!!

1942, at the start of WWII for the US - a perfect color in Pearl Gray!

Excellent photos John!

Love the model , John.  The ads on that site are just so cool.  Rare cars, indeed.

@jack-dodds

I also was not aware of the coupe version. I only knew of the 1942 Conquest convertible, which I have, and the 1942 Brooklin 4-door hardtop.

@jack-dodds I wasn't either Jack, at least not from Conquest. I do have the convertible from Conquest and a coupe from Victory and NEO .
