A hundred and more years ago, a monumental change came to the American style of burial. (Click on any picture for enlargement.)
And in funerals, as in life, the horse was replaced by horsepower. But every undertaker couldn't afford a Packard. So how could I resist this one:
The great records of Hobbydb date this English white metal kit as 197x, and Pirate Models of England said it was a 1925 Ford Model T Hearse, even though it seems that Ford did not build the finished version. All the parts were there, well, sort of. It seems that this was early production and later models had a frame for the windshield with a couple of extra lights. I made do with those original parts, and had fun in the process. Warped metal I attempted to straighten with little success. Time spent? Maybe 10 or 12 hours, spread over two weeks or more. Got to let the glue dry!
Some parts fit, others almost fit, others. . . well, . . .
But with the help of funeral-clothed experts, the hearse (complete with coffin) makes its public appearance.
Maybe not as perfect as some, but when did you last see a Model T hearse?  Anybody want a ride?

Very interesting build. You are probably the only one on this form that has one of these! Thanks for the step by step pictures of the construction.
@david-green  I've never seen it! I look forward to your results. Enjoy!
