Remember this one from that 1988 movie?

Today I wandered into a local MANTIQUES store and there it was:

Okay, the plastic box is dented on one side but has never been opened.  The car was made by Motor Max and says "1/43" on the outside. This is NOT a highly detailed white metal $200 model, but it's interesting at a small fraction of that price.

I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it, so I haven't opened the plastic packaging.  I have seen the same Motor Max model for sale with a different shaped package, but the cars appear to have no differences.  As I remember, it was a good movie.

Looks good ! After all, it's a beautiful 1949 Buick Roadmaster. I have MotorMax's 1/18 scale '49 Roadmaster in this same color and it's a terrific replica, especially at it's price point.

That checks the “cool” box for me.

I'm an excellent driver. When I'm not counting cards.

It's an iconic "must have" car model for sure. Here's mine in 1/24:

@frank  I liked this model enough to buy three, one to keep stock with but with bare metal foil, one to convert into an Estate Wagon, and one to convert into a Roadmaster sedan.  The Riviera in the photo is a Jerry Rettig kit I built and the Sedanette  a Brooklin.

@john-quilter That's quite nice set of '49s. Well done.
