Toy Car and Models and Toy Shop to cease publication
As the founder of Model Car Journal Magazine in 1974, we published 123 issues over 23 years time. However, continued publication was not possible and still maintain a family and "real" job. About 10 years ago, MCJ magazine was transferred to the current publisher who renamed it Toy Car and Vehicles, and subsequently renamed to Toy Car and Models.
Now they too have ceased publication.

Here is the press release I just received:
November 30, 2007
Dear Contributor:
The Magazine Group at F+W Publications frequently reviews and revises its publishing strategy, taking into consideration the current and future marketplace, circulation and advertising revenue, to assure that we are meeting Company and customer needs.
Regrettably, after weighing some key factors, the Company has determined that we will cease publication of Toy Cars & Models Magazine after the February 2008 issue. We will also cease publication of Toy Shop Magazine after the March 2008 issue. I, along with everyone here at Toy Cars & Models and Toy Shop, would like to thank you for your support of the magazine.
You have provided our readers a consistent supply of instruction and inspiration. Thank you again for your many contributions to the magazine. It has been our great pleasure to work with you over the years, and we wish you the very best.
Sincerely,
Robyn Austin

I've been a subscriber for years. I'm reallu going to miss it. (and now that I think about it, last round I paid for a 2 year subscription)
Yeah, Allan, I guess Diecast-X will be its replacement by default.
