Ben, you mentioned in your recent post that as a collector of current Brooklin models only you enjoy seeing older Brooklins. Here are two: BRK 48, a 1958 Chevrolet Impala, and BRK 154, a 1958 Chevrolet Yeoman 4 door wagon. While I’ve posted pictures of these cars in various settings before these black and white photos seem to have an added realism as the lack of chrome detail is less obvious than in color photos. My recent discovery of how to make color photos into black and white photos opens up new possibilities for showcasing models in comparison to the actual cars.

I enjoy as well to see older Brooklin models and your pics. Some are on my list but some are hard to find now. I think, the Yeoman is among one that is not easy to find particularly. I really like the one that you have in two tone and the one with the blackwalls. Your two 1954 Kaiser Manhattan one in two tone and the one in green are not easy to find as well. One that i regret a bit is the 1954 Chevrolet Handyman two tones but i passed on it because i was not sure about the way he is painted. An other Handyman was supposed to be done in a different two tone colors but it never had happens.
Michel, so here are two ‘54 Chevrolets, a Bel Air 2 door hardtop, and two 210 Handymsn wagons. Again, the black and white photos add realism by diminishing the effect of the lack of chrome trim on the earlier Brooklins.

@david-knight For me the lack of chrome on the older brooklins don't effect me always. I even think that give a certain charm. I bought some last years and i was so excited maybe more than to buy a NB center collection at 4 times the price. The Bel Air in color. Do you remember who owned the 210 Handyman wagon?
Thank you David, but I can't properly respond to your great post and pics at this time....I got the COVID bug bad, but when feeling better, I'll be right back on.
@ben-lampson Sorry to hear it. Rest a lot and get well soon. David H
You'll be in our prayers. I had it about two weeks ago. But my case was fairly mild. Get well soon, Ben.

@ben-lampson Wishing you a speedy recovery. I tested positive 4 days ago and have been isolating in our cabin with Lil Bit (the dog)! Luckily, I am already feeling better, it was mostly just a bad head cold for me. If anyone else needs an isolation cabin, let me know!
@ben-lampson Very sorry you are feeling bad with that gnasty (spelled with a “g” for emphasis) Covid virus. Hope you will have a speedy recovery and will be feeling fine again soon. May your Brooklin models bring you some distraction and comfort as well. When I had my knee replacements last year I chose several Brooklins to park on my bedside table. I could escape the pain to a great degree by transporting myself into the wonderful world of 1:43. Sounds crazy? Well, probably, yet it seemed to work. Take care.

Seems to be a lot of covid going around. I had it about 10 days ago and finished my quarantine last Wednesday. Test is now negative, but I was left with a chest cough that is only now beginning to abate, with the help of Musinex DM.
