Could these models be any nicer? I don't think so.
Great video, John.
Another fantastic video of another fantastic model John!
Would it be too much to ask that you do 2 videos a day? 😀
John, Your videos are fantastic! When I'm watching them I get the feeling that a car salesman is talking to me...oh, never mind. Fun stuff.
Another great review, John. And it encouraged me to do a little research. This Chevrolet Fleetmaster station wagon was one of 10,171 made for the 1948 model year by the Fisher Body Company, as Fisher had been doing for both Chevrolet and Oldsmobile since 1946. These wood bodies had frames of Ash and panels of Mahogany. 1948 was the last of the wooden bodied station wagons for General Motors.
Fisher Body had long been basic to the production of many American automobile companies, especially General Motors but also many others. General Motors bought 60% of Fisher in 1919 and gradually assumed complete ownership. Several of the Fisher brothers were active for decades in the top leadership of GM.
Thanks for the extra detail, David. I love learning this kind of stuff!!
@bob-jackman, "So, what'll it take to get you in this little beauty today?"

John, Sergio who owns a used car lot down on the corner already sold me one. Sergio is a pretty good salesman himself.
@bob-jackman Lol....geez, the same salesman sold me a blue one just the other day! He told me my physique precluded me from ordering the surfer wagon.
Jack, He wanted pictures but i refused. I told him I was thirty five years old and worked out every day If he finds out the truth, he'll probably have the car repossessed.
One kind gentleman on a facebook wagon owners page just informed me that a very limited number of '49 models were made from wood. Apparently, that made both at the start of the model year but stopped the wood bodied ones very soon after production started.

@bob-jackman Lol. Next time I want to buy a surfboard woody I'm gonna tell them my surname is LaLane.
@jkuvakas Wow...that's news to me. They would be worth big bucks if any survived!
I would LOVE to see Sergio produce a 1949 Pontiac tin woodie.
