Hmm, but why a '62 ?  Wasn't '61 the 1st year of the SS409 Impala ?

Just asking as I'm no expert on Chevrolet. Thank-you.

Steve

Oh man....another knockout.....both colors for me as this is my favorite Chevy of that decade.  I hope we get a convertible of this one at some point as well.

Won't be getting this one, already made one from a Brooklin hardtop.

1961 Impala interior

But have on order the 1962 hardtop in blue which will show well with my Trax white over green Impala four door hardtop.

This '61 Impala convert will be a must have BUT I wish that one version would be done with no skirts.

I just ordered the white over red '62 hardtop, so I can't wait for the white '61 convertible with red spear and red interior....they should look great together...

Who else has the '62 coming? and in what color?

Thank you Sergio.....well done!

@ben-lampson I have both colors of the '62 coming. I plan to buy the white '61 Impala convertible and agree it will display nicely beside the red/white '62.

My cousin had that '62 SS coupe, with a few mods including lake pipes, and actually ran it at the 'drags' in its category.  As a kid I'd egg him on to uncap the pipes and, as the Beach Boys indicated, they did roar. Much to the chagrin of my aunt and uncle.  Great memories.

Cousin eventually traded lake pipes for smoking pipes, becoming a tweed-jacket-with elbow-patches professorial type, complete with Volvos.
