would there be shops in Morocco ? or Afghanistan ? or Uganda ?
Can one say that collecting miniature cars is a thing for the western world ?
What do you think ?
Have you ever visited a shop in a place where you would never ever expect to find one ?
Now days with internet commerce, I guess one can obtain a model car from nearly anywhere in the world, so they main thing would be liking a replica car, where ever you actually are !
Collecting cars regardless of size can be an expensive proposition and I'm thinking the vast amount of wealth would tend to be in the western world. As Mike says, with the internet, it is possible to find almost anything anywhere in the world.
@joop I live in England and I don't live near a shop that sells model cars. We did have a few but these closed ages ago.
I can purchase toy cars from a supermarket or bargain store these are mainly Hot Wheels or increasingly being more available Matchbox plus there are the cheaper no-name alternatives.
Where I buy model cars from is Grand Prix Models via their website, e-bay and toy fairs. The latter two are also a resource for obsolete toy cars. So, @mikedetorrice as Mike states.
Then I agree with @bob-jackman Bob collecting can be expensive so only available to people with excess income to spend on hobbies and these are likely from the western world.
