Obviously now you can get them anytime on ebay for very reasonable prices. I meant back in the 80's when they were in production - it was a helluva time to find one and be able to afford it, back in the USSR.

I have four 1:43rd retractibles but no American cars.
Mine are: Minichamps 2004 M-B SLK and three Norev's, a 2005 M-B SL AMG, a 2001 Peugeot, and a 1935 Peugeot.

Correct. Even Lesney Matchbox was cheaper than Saratov in the USSR.
They were probably cheapest in Benelux (at least prior to the mid-1980's), although you got a bunch in Canada and those went down to the US fairly quickly.
