My 1/64 La Carrera Panamerican 1954 Mexican Road Race display/cars/diorama continues.
To replicate the somewhat famous Von Esser's Speed Equipment '53 Vette, I started with a Hot Wheels Elite '53, then drilled out the chassis, added screws (for easy access later ), changed the wheels to "Dayton wires," then added period correct Road Race graphics.
Next comes two driver figures & a bit of weathering.
This is a really well done conversion Chris. I would be proud to have one like this in my collection.
Really nice looking model, keep up the good work. Looking forward to seeing the drivers.

@david-green Thanks David, truth be told... initially, I thought these red wire wheels made the car look rather silly; I considered replicating red steelie rims instead, but now I really kind of like it.
