This is my latest 1/64 scale model car purchase, a Nissan Fairlady Z by Kyosho. This model represents the 7th generation of the Datsun/Nissan line of Z sports cars starting with the 240Z, which was introduced in the US in October 1969. The Fairlady name has been used for Z cars sold in Japan. In the US this car is sold as the Nissan Z.
For a 1/64 scale model, the packaging is different. It comes in a box, approximately 12 x 8.5 x 1.5 inches, with an opening showing the model.
The model is nicely done in Everest White and Super Black. Details are crisp, chassis is detailed, and wheels roll nicely. Its price before shipping was $29, higher than Greenlight and Autoworld, but less than some really high-end models in this scale. The following pictures show it in front of the drive-in restaurant on my train layout, where it is getting attention of people. Reminds me of people seeing my 1:1 scale Z for the first time.
Inside the box was a book showing pictures of the car, text about the car, and some advertisements for after-market products. The book looked nicely done. I just wish it was printed in English, since I cannot read Japanese. I knew this before buying the model, so I was not surprised. Here are some pictures of the book cover and a few of the pages.
I purchased the model from Dave Gilbert at Toycargeek. Dave has been adding 1/64 scale cars and trucks to his products. For those of you who are display space challenged, you might want to consider this scale.

I did not know about 1/64 scale until seeing them on toycargeek web site. You can also look at the Kyosho site.

Do you remember when you got that Camaro? Â I would not have expected that from Kyosho. Looks nice.

Fine images of this 1/64 Kyosho Nissan Z ! It looks exceptional and makes a well-done model. There certainly are many really nice replicas in this scale and this is definitely one if them.
