Digging through one of my storage cases yesterday, I found a group of early 1980s ERTL 1/64 American cars in their original packages.

Here are three examples, one from each of the sets issued. There is some confusion on the packaging regarding model number.

These came out about the same time as the Dukes of Hazard cars by ERTL.

AMERICAN CLASSICS. No.1613 1932 Ford Coupe

P1100948
P1100949

CARS OF THE '50s. No.1630 1951 Chevrolet

P1100950
P1100951

REPLICA SERIES No.1917AB Camaro.

P1180331
P1180333

Here is a fuller listing of the 1500 and 16000 series on the package back.

P1180334

If anyone else has models in this range, please share.

David, I do not have any, but do remember them. In the early 1990’s, when I started buying 1/64 scale trains, I started looking for 1/64 scale cars. There we’re not many nice cars in that scale. The Ertl cars were among the better ones. I had the green 1951 Chevrolet, but no longer have it. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
