The Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 are limited production sports cars produced by Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari introduced in 2018 for the 2019 model year. The cars mark the start of a new lineage of models called the "Icona" series, a program aimed at creating special cars inspired by classic Ferrari models, all to be produced in limited series. The first cars of the new lineage are the Monza SP1 and SP2, whose designs are inspired by the 750 Monza from the 1950s. The SP1 and SP2 nomenclature refers to the number of seats for each model. 499 units were built at a price of €1.58 million before options. The SP1 is rarest at about 95 made up to last year. It is powered by an 800 HP V16 engine and can go 180mph plus.
I found the Maisto 1/64 version at Walmart this week. Here is the model.
Note that it is a single seater with a virtual windshield. The full sized version comes in this steel grey and yellow, or in Ferrari red.
Very nice replica ! It looks amazing as both a real automobile and as a model. I could probably afford the Maisto 1/64 diecast, but the beautiful real car is out of my reach until I hit the Lottery .......
"...virtual windshield."
Cool little Ferrari Dave; forgive my ignorance - What's a "virtual windshield?" 🤔 🤔
A virtual windshield used auto body design to move airflow and moisture away from the driver’s head just as a windshield does. Aston Martin developed one a few years ago and Formula 1 also has them. I’m not sure how effective it would be on highways with trucks and heavy traffic.
@chris Thanks for asking. I also wondered what a virtual windshield was.

I like the newer Monza's by Ferrari and really admire the Maisto's handling of it - NICE!
DOH! I made the correction. Maisto in my head but fingers typed Matchbox. Where's that 2nd cup of Joe??
