Autoworld  1/64 will SOON be releasing "premium"  versions of some of their cars which includes NEW tooling.  😀 😀 😀     Here's a 10-minute video - about 5 minutes in you'll see mid-'90's Buick Roadmaster station wagons.

HOW COOL IS THAT!  😎 😎 😎

How cool is this?   VERY cool. My first thought:

It's a small world after all.
It's a small world after all.
It's a small world after all.
It's a small, small world.

Reminds me of my younger years, a hundred years ago (or so it seems most times) when the only diecast car was a Matchbox. I've always favored the larger scales but mostly for what they are and what they do. I have 1/87th scale cars but less of them than any and next is 1/64th. But the 1/64th is changing and I am listening and watching and like what I see. Thanks for this Chris!

Same here!    As I posted a while back, I was doing next-level  1/64 modifications 100 years ago  when no one else was - many thought I was nuts.     But I never saw all this  coming.  1/64 is now a bonified collectable scale!     😎 😎 😎

I can't imagine the detail & features that will be offered 5, 10, 15 years from now!    Amazing!  😮 😮

Dang it - I'm getting bigger and models are getting smaller!  Formal Smile

Thanks for the video Chris. You and Tony have described my thoughts on what's happening in 1/64 very well

. Like Tony, I have a handful of 1/87 scale but most of my dollars are going to 1/43 with 1/64 following close behind.

It is ironic that the models get smaller as our eyesight gets weaker. Still love and collect them however.

Like most Forumites I have a slew of models  from 1:18 through 1:64, but for some strange reason I have an extra appreciation/love for the more recent high quality 1:64 ranges; in particular MINIGT.  The quality of this scale in general has certainly come a long way in the past few years.  I suspect my appreciation is both nostalgia based (Matchbox Toys as a kid and presently a huge collection of same) plus I just appreciate things done well in miniature.
