34-A, Volkswagen Microvan, 1/75 scale. Introduced 1957, discontinued 1961.
This blue van looks impressive with 'Matchbox International Express' printed in gold on each side.
Wheels started out as grey metal changing to plastic, grey, silver and finally black.

34-B, Volkswagen Caravette, 1/64 scale. Introduced 1962, discontinued 1966.
This pale green VW camper came in pale green with grey plastic wheels and opening side doors.

34-C, Volkswagen Camper, 1/66 scale. Introduced 1967, discontinued 1968.
This one is grey with amber windows, black plastic wheels and opening side doors. It wasn't in production long.

36-A, Austin A50, 1/72 scale. Introduced 1957, discontinued 1960.
This was green until 1959 and changed to blue for 1960 only.

37-A, Karrier Bantom 2 Ton Coca Cola, 1/89 scale. Introduced 1957, discontinued 1959.
This one has an uneven load of bottle cases and has no base underneath.
First wheels were grey metal changing to black plastic.

More really interesting Matchbox releases from long ago. The horse box truck is really cool.
The Austin A30 is a very nice car, too, in either color. I wonder how many Matchbox automobile releases featured a hitch post on the back for attaching a trailer or other accessory ? My 1958 Cadillac also has a hitch on the back.

This has a yellow decal saying 'Cleaning Department' on a grey or greenish grey body.
The wheels are first grey, then black plastic.
First the greenish grey.
