This is a Jaguar D-type racing car from about 1955 and done by Tootsietoy, Chicago, IL, who have been around since at least the 1920's or so It is very simply done, consisting of about 7 parts but looks very nice and quite dramatic in this purple color.

Those are all eye-catching colors ! The purple color in various hues is certainly a popular one for this model. The Jaguar name and type isn't actually embossed underneath where it says "U.S.A. Tootsietoy", but, perhaps especially when you are younger, that's o.k. : it's still just a great-looking race car !
