Here is a Matchbox diecast car I got when I was a small kid. It is a deep blue Jaguar 4-door sedan and it is a really attractive automobile with a classic Jag front end/grille.
Once again Mike, I've NEVER known ANYONE who kept their childhood toys in as remarkably good condition as you have. It's truly amazing! 😳 😳 😳
Lol, I guess it is a "pack-rat" mentality ! But it is fun to still have things from the distant past that you enjoy now.
This is the later issue metallic blue version which followed the original pastel blue. I had the pastel blue one when I was 7 years old but ruined it and all the others...lol. I have them in my collection now though.

RIGHT! That's what ALL of us did..... we destroyed our toys! Well, all of us but Mike - he wasn't even touching them, except when he was dusting and waxing them. 😀 😀
@jack-dodds Me too Jack. I had to replace mine twice because my son also loved that Jaguar.
It's truly amazing!

@gdh I wish I could comply... the operable phrase in my post is "many years ago." 95% of those models have been lost to history.
I probably have a few bit & pieces and maybe one car left - a tiny little Honda Civic - converted with a pancake motor to actually run. As I recall, the scale tires (very thin ) offered zero traction, but they looked right. 😉 😉
I picked up a mint unboxed one of these at my local flea market this weekend in a tray of twelve older Lesney vehicles. Paid $18 for the lot, a usually good buy. I now have a pair. Included was a tiny Moko silver plated 1953 Coronation coach missing its six horses but still rare.
