That's great, Larry!

22 years ago I built a wooden model kit of a French pilot cutter from 1913 in 1/72 (?) scale made by Artesania Latina, a Spanish company.

The prototype won the first Fastnet Race in 1925.

Not sure about my ship building skills now at the age of 66, but I still have a halfway built model of the schooner America. I will definitely continue to build this model and if it takes years...

Nice work!

I have a 1/350th USS Nimitz CVN 68 (circa 1975 configuration) Trumpeter model…I served on Nimitz (Pre-comm crew) from ‘74 - ‘78, so this represents the ship as I knew it…I had great intentions to build it, but never got around to it - it’s still in the box. It’s almost 4 foot long when built.

Thanks for the ship model photos.  I was more of an airplane model building person, but always appreciate nice looking models, cars, planes, ships, etc.

Nice change of pace. Thank you everyone for sharing your ships. You definitely still retain skills if you build these.
