........."A Real Bug`s Life",a series I promoted here a week or so back has proven to be a phenomenal nature docu-drama.....Spoilers follow here folks....so be forewarned
......I completed watching it this morning after having fallen asleep several times in the process......my eyes had already closed last night,when the last of my consciousness told me my (good) ants were being attacked by a platoon of legendary cow-killer ants......I roused my self awake and shut down the production until such time I could lucently take it all in.....it`s a scene of such pillage, you will thank an ant next time you encounter one
.......not that,but THIS is what prompts me to write.......Dung Beetles
.......a fully armored dung beetle gets notice via an olfactory early warning,that an elephant will soon drop a prize winner.....so he begins ......running at first and eventually learning to fly, in pursuit of the LZ.....everyone in this movie is between zero and one year old,and many were not born with flight credentials..... Dungster flys over miles of jungle in time to be there for the actual drop and is momentarily joined by heaping masses of like-minded beetles......each of them here to attend the ball and then blow town like YESTERDAY
..............after numerous aborted attempts,Dungster develops a workable rhythm and learns to unicycle ride his very own s**t ball out into the ENDLESS landscape.....on his journey he will meet several interesting people and considerable dangers....he goes on,and,on and on, seemingly for hours......all of this begs the question......how nice a place does a guy have to find to settle down and enjoy his bounty when at best it`s just a s**t ball??
