@galen55  Wow... the fidelity of that rear red rim (say that fast five times... LoL ) is impressive.   I've had N-scale for decades, and have done some pretty intricate fabs & mods, but I've never seen an N-scale auto rim that nice.

Are you sure that isn't H.O.?

Firstly yes Chris the rims look great. I dont quite get why N scale, H.O. I realise they are very old and established but I cannot relate to them. 1/24 is 1/24th the actual size of the model, 1/43, 1/43rd, 1/18, 1/18th and so on. People can then relate to the replica. First thing I say to people looking at my collection and showing a particular model is "this is 1/43rd the size of the original." They're impressed and are able to relate to the model. Anyway just my 2 cents worth, and I'm only referring to the classifications of the scale, not the quality of the work which I acknowledge is outstanding!

Could it be O scale?  The rim has the look of a diecast. It could be  a 1935 Ford coupe by Rextoys in 1/43.

@chris I too have had N scale for decades but when we moved into this house there was no place for a train room. About six months ago I contacted the local train club and met a young man who is single and loves buying and selling N scale. I worked a deal with him to sell my collection on a commission basis both on the internet and going to train shows. At the peak of my collecting I had 238 locomotives, over 2,000 freight cars and over 300 passenger cars. So far he has sold about a third of the collection. The only thing I saved is my model of the Union Pacific Big Boy which I have sitting on rails and in a clear plastic display case. I miss my trains but they were doing no good packed away in the closet.

I can relate.   I have one hell of a collection - but NONE of it is on display, it's literally all neatly packed away in a closet.   One day, I'll set "something"  up but I can't, at least right now, bring myself to part with any of it.    😮 🤨

I'm glad you're getting, more or less, what you want.  👍

@100ford2003 Decades ago, I crafted an N-scale articulated B&O 4-6-6-4 steam locomotive and an N-scale narrow-gauge Camel-back.   One day, I should "dig those out"  and post some pics.  🙄

My model train layout is S scale (1/64 scale). I display some of my 1/64 scale cars and trucks on the layout. It also has a small airport, where I display some 1/72 scale aircraft.
