….a great start for the day. OK, a couple of the deer are imposters but the rest don’t seem to mind.
We have a herd of Deer that come to visit the yard daily. Now my wife has decided she needs to feed them with Deer Corn. Oh Joy!
@carsman1958 How many deer are in the herd? If you feed them to well, they may bring their friends.

@ed-davis We have anywhere from one to a dozen deer everyday. There’s a pregnant? doe that’s daily bedding down about 10 yards from our house out back. Also a good size buck lurks just beyond the tree line.
We don’t feed them other than occasional apples, we do have a heated bird bath that I keep filled up next to the house which is quite popular. We really enjoy having them around and watching them, they keep our trees nicely pruned, but play hell on our perennials. I ordered the Star Chief a couple of weeks ago, it isn’t mint, but is presentable and has all its extremities which is seemingly pretty unusual. Most all of the auctions say ‘missing driver mirror’, ‘missing antenna’, ‘missing door handle’, or any combination of these. Decent model, decent price, all is good.
COOL! Love the Pontiac and LOVE the whitetail! We get a lot of deer in or back yard too - it backs up to a lot of woods and the deer feel safe back there. They do eat the flowers if you don't watch them but corn with also bring raccoons, possum, skunks, squirrels, varmints of all kinds, so be wary.
Ah Tony, we have those as well. They like the cat food that is on our porch, so we see skunks, raccoons, possum all the time. We have even opened the door to leave and a skunk was eating the food. Fortunately, they did not spray, just ran to the corner of the porch and waited for us to leave. As for the herd, usually around 8-12 in the woods and backyard. There is an empty field across the street and when I walk my dog late at night, I will see them over there grazing.
We get deer as well as we have a park behind our house. Currently we have deer tracks in the snow on our patio. Congrats on the model Kev. I love mine, it too arrived without a mirror. I had one in my model parts stash that was close, so all worked out. Nobody knows the difference. And I got it for a great price as well because of the missing mirror. 😊
@carsman1958 Think of it this way Kevin and John; at least your lawn will be well fertilized by your new pets. Now your garden....that's a different story. Kevin. I hope they don't sample the Poncho!
For years, our neighbor, closest to the house, emptied a bucket of his garbage in his back yard to avoid using his garbage disposal. ???? Go figure. It brought everything and I mean everything. He passed on about 8 years or so and the animals mostly moved further up the hill. We still see the deer; they are fringe animals and like to hang out between our woods and the mowed grass.Ah Tony, we have those as well. @perrone1 Tony....I think I know the main attraction drawing the Deere to your yard.......
@perrone1 LOL. With a lawn that size I daresay this this green Bambi has very likely saved your life!
@perrone1 Niiiiice !! Your yard is large enough to perhaps be renamed "Tony's Pitch and Putt".
That would work! We play the beanbag, "corn hole" game but the yard (hard to see in pics) is on a steep hill.
