With talk of the BATMOBILE on another thread here in the Lounge, it got me to thinking of other Famous TV Cars.Â
Here is a nice retro look at some of them. For me, the most fun of watching any old TV show or movie is the old cars in them. Highway Patrol is one of my really favorites. The show is cheesy in its own way, but if you love 50's decade cars, then this show will give you plenty to see. Â

@frank, that's cool Frank! I was never a follower of the Monkee's, but I remember them because I younger sister watched them all the time on TV. She was all gaga over Davey Jones. Â

@pete-rovero, love the Manix car pics! I enjoy watching the old reruns of the show. Â

Watched Mannix last night [early this morning] had a gorgeous '55 Chevy convertible nosed & decked supposedly in Mexico.
@big-shady, I liked Rockford's Firebird too. The fun thing about that show was seeing how many of those cars he was going to crash. It happened often. Â

Yes, Jim was either renting a car or borrowing Rocky's truck while his Firebird was in the garage or body shop.
Does anyone remember the 1951 Ford the detectives drove in the early years of the cop show San Francisco Beat? I recall that show as the very first in my recollection as a little kid; the second one I recall watching was Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford in his '58 Buick.
@jack-dodds, gotta say you you've got me on that one. Hope someone can answer the question for you. Â
