With all due respect, I don't think he needs any help finding his way home. We all know his immense intelligence will overcome any little problems along the way (like, "Where the hell did I put my bus ticket? And why do I even HAVE a bus ticket when I drove out here?")

Maybe someone should alert Mr D to check out the recent Lounge posts when (if) he gets home, otherwise he might never realise that in his absence he has become something of a cause célèbre (or "cerebral curse", as we say in English)

Jack would never be anything that translates into French.

"Imbecile" works equally well in both languages. Of course I'm not suggesting for one moment that the term is relevant here. Just making a small linguistic point, that's all.

Well..if you're going to use big words and logic, I'm afraid you won't get many in this board to listen. BTW, do you know where I can buy some imbecile? My Doctor just laughs when I ask him how I can get some. I asked an AI chatbot, and all I got was, "It seems you already have some."

I'm not keen on AI chatbots, but this one seems to have got the measure of you.  You don't buy it. You just have it. It's an internally-generated emergent property, the seeds of which are present from birth, and once you develop a conscious awareness of this precious gift,  a powerful self-amplifying feedback loop gradually but inexorably develops, which means the whole thing becomes effortlessly magnified and increasingly apparent to those around you.

But I don't know why I'm saying all this when the only person with enough depth of intellect to appreciate it is sitting in a bus depot somewhere in the Everglades, still wearing his Santa outfit with integral sanitary underpants, and wondering if he can afford the Greyhound ride to Vancouver so he can hitch-hike the rest of the way home.

Please gentlemen.......no rattly old Bedford OB bus for this arthritic carcass.  It's "the plane boss...the plane" for this metric high-Q deep thinker.  My relatives out on the coast chipped in and bought me a ticket on an early flight home, bless their hearts....not sure why it was three days early....maybe they caught a sale or something.  Someone said something about it being cheaper than the liquor bill I was racking up....they're such kidders.

Absolutely right JK; the only French I know is "dos cervasas por favor, garcon."
