Frank; you spelled stub wrong.
I was at a hardware store years ago where they had a sample electronic stud finder gadget display set-up.
The captioning in bold letters read "CAN YOU FIND THE STUD?"
To which someone wrote in equally bold letters... "HE WORKS IN THE PAINT DEPT"

LOL...probably written by the guy in the paint department.......
Naw, I don't think so. The guy in paint was nicknamed 'Stubs' cuz he severed his fingers setting up the Stud Finder display. He lost his ability to hold a pen.

So...he pushed the paint tinting machine buttons with his nose then......interesting.
Not as interesting as watching him try to get the 5gal buckets outta the mixing machine. Man, i remember one day...ah well, it's better to not say anything. But everyone felt really bad for the customer ..that had to hurt gettin it right in there. Almost with surgical precision some said.
This thread has been splintered...it's gone from lumber to paint.

I agree Bob, it has unraveled a bit; almost more than I can Behr. The subject of building supplies in general has almost no True Value in a lumber discussion IMHO.
The law firm of Sherwin-Williams would disagree
