I bought it as a used car.
Top speed was alright at first, but when I put in Slick-50, me and my little rascal were always the fastest at stoplight-sprints.
But as you may know, these fun cars were from the British Leyland period, when, how can I put it, quality was not their main goal.
After having put bull-bars in the front and in the back, I quickly found out that it was quite impossible to keep it in good condition as sheet metal was very bad.
I had to sell it to a couple of friends of mine, who were quite handy with the big Mustangs from the 1970's .
After a while I asked them how the Mini was....
They told me that had never worked on a worse car than my Mini.
Here is picture of a Mini just like mine....
I always loved the single speedometer in the middle of the dashboard.
it was about the cheapest car I ever owned, but men, how I loved it.....so much fun...
