Wow. Do you still have a drivers license? Back in the day, I'm guessing folks like Joey Chitwood would have been proud to have you join his team.
@bob-jackman The '67 Coronet [3 weeks old with 2,600 miles on it] was my fault [I was speeding] though I did not get a ticket and if the brakes were more effective maybe avoidable. The Dart a drunk ran a stop sign, I was doing 20 mph when he t-boned me and drove me into a utility pole on the passenger side. The R/T a guy left the car in the left lane of a bridge on a limited access divided highway after causing an accident 1/4 of a mile before so his back end had no reflection left just after dark, the cops investigating the accident did not know he left the car there, they never found him, the plates on the car a '65 Impala were stolen, I hit him at 35 mph after passing the accident, never saw it coming didn't even hit the brakes. The only other accident, the one that put me in the hospital, was with a Yamaha Maxim 1100 went down at 85+ mph in a corner, front tire dismounted [low air I believe]. BUT I SURE HAD FUN [what memories] WHEN I WAS A CRAZY KID IN MY 20's [30's for the bike & not much fun] . 3 car accidents out of 7 muscle cars. 1 motorcycle accident out of 8 bikes. In my teens I was a passenger in 3 totaled car accidents.
Bruce; sometimes when we look back at our early driving antics we realize just how much luck played a part in us being here today. At the time we all thought we were pretty hot shot drivers....boy did I learn how wrong I was when I took police pursuit driving. After day one of the training I realized I knew almost nothing. That's when I very humbly realized how lucky I had been. Lol.

You could teach a whole class - I know.
I've been a long-term member of the thin blue line appreciation club. Thank you for your dedicated service!
