This is a picture of a Kaiser styling mockup for a possible 1952 face-lift of the automobile. It is very interesting and one gets the possible impression that someone then went to work at Edsel styling at Ford after Kaiser closed in the USA !

A facelift consideration for the 1952 Kaiser

My gosh, you're right - it could pass for the Edsel's cousin. And the lighting effects on the nose of the car make it even less appealing!

Lol, as with many things automotive, it can be a matter of taste and of current styles and trends. Packard during the Forties used a vertical theme ....and then again with the stunning and beautiful Packard Predictor show/dream car.

Sometimes it doesn't seem to be a huge difference between making or breaking an automotive design. The Edsel certainly seemed to be a polarizing, like it or not, style.

Well put Mike!
