PIC: Should Chevrolet have made this one ?? 1954 coupe.

Too hunched looking for me.
I think the 53 and 54 Chevys are beautiful cars. IMO this hunch back would have been demeaning to the rest of the lineup.
+1. Don't care for it at all.
Cool but it wouldn't have sold well, imo. Consumers were long done with the sedanet style by then.
It was over in '52 wasn't it Al?
+1 Absolutely.
Pic .. Compared this to my '54 that I bought in '62
My pic was fuzzy but it was like this except for the checkerboards.

The fastback idea is sound but that back glass is probably too advanced for the model year. Even the panoramic windshield didn't get into production for a few more years. But it looks fast doesn't it? Too bad the Chevy didn't yet have a V-8 for it.
I believe so. Chevy was the only one to still offer that style in '52.
Cadillac's was discontinued after '49, Olds after '50, Buick & Pontiac after '51.
The things beside the rocking chairs at Cracker Barrel ????
