but the proportions are just a bit off, to my eyes. It wasn't my intent to customize it but rather to improve the proportions and perhaps modernize the trim and presentation. I do this just to see how it looks.

As found:

49 Buick Roadmaster Sedanette1a

Lowered a bit with slightly extended front fenders & hood, and rear fenders. Also retrofitted '56 Buick ventiports:

49 Buick Roadmaster Sedanette Mild Custom (3)

With a bit more cleanup and wheel change:

49 Buick Roadmaster Sedanette Mild Custom (2)

Slightly modified front end plus frenched headlights and lowered a bit more:

49 Buick Roadmaster Sedanette Mild Custom (1)

With a courteous nod to you purists, how do those of you who entertain change view the iterations?

Enjoy!

Lowering is cool but without the VentiPorts is doesn’t look like a Buick Roadmaster.

I like your first change with the 56 ventiports.

I like all of them but the last one is my favorite.
