Does anyone remember the contraversy over the rear "wings" of the Impala? Many thought the car would almost become airborne above a certain speed.
Chevy
Yes...but I think NASCAR disproved that one.
Thank you! A new hip replacement to go with the 3 prior knee replacements
Oh man......well you rest up and take good care! Think green!
Ford!!
May depend on whether you are measuring based on model year or calendar year.
Funny thing about styling. While many didn't care for the batwing on the Chevy, Ford picked up on the theme, although slightly smaller, the following year.
Wikipedia production figures of given makes and year.
Always disliked the 59 Chevy styling but today definitely like them for their uniqueness.
59 was a year of vastly different styles, I preferred the Chrysler Corp designs 57 - 59.
Yes that's true. My distinct impression from car guys over the years though (including on this Forum) is that the '60 Ford was one of the least liked years of that era. Ironically the '60 Chevy, which has a similar "wing" rear quarter design, seems very well liked by collectors and car guys. Go figure.
Lol. I suspect a few "stories on the road" stayed on the road
Awww man !!!!! ... Not by a mile and half !!!!! ...... Jeeeez Louise ... he he he he he he he
Always liked the trademark round Ford tail lights, '52 thru '64 (except '58 &'60 for some strange reason).
