Sorry, but every source says he died today from complications with COPD…

@terryslekar You're correct! I read it as "Sly Stallone." That's what I get for trying to do more than ONE thing at a time - I should KNOW better! My mistake Terry, I apologize.

@paul-rouffa Yes, thanks...... I didn't know about it until yesterday. BTW: Apparently, I wasn't the only "pinhead" to confuse "Sly Stone" with "Sly Stallone." The internet reacted to countless inquiries about "Sly."

@chris My first reaction was "No!! Not Rambo". Then I looked again and went "Oh. Him" I was amazed he lived that long. I don't remember much about him since Woodstock. He was definitely a funk master in his time.

Yes, Sly was ALL about funk.... but for me, summer wouldn't be the same without this:
