Coming right at me as I glance at my Garage Wall...the beautiful 1958 PONTIAC!
I'm a fan of General Motors 1958 line-up of cars, always have been. They were big, they were bold, and oh man, were they chromed! The Pontiac for '58 was all new and it made a statement that no Pontiac before it had ever made. It oozed with the vibes that this was NOT the Pontiac your Grandfather drove.
Unlike some 1958 GM cars, Pontiac's restyle was reasonably tasteful, with a simple mesh grille, quad headlights, and side spears made wider and concave toward the rear,. With a 370-cid V-8 engine delivering up to 285 horsepower in Star Chiefs and Bonnevilles. They also featured asymmetrically patterned interiors in a wide variety of two and three tone color combinations.
Model offerings included no fewer than seven Catalina hardtops with two and four doors. New gadgetry included a removable "Sportable" transistor radio, a "Safeguard" speedometer that buzzed with a driver set-speed was exceeded, and a "Memo-Matic" power seat that moved rear-ward for easier entry and exit when the ignition key was turned off.
Frankly speaking, the '58 PONTIAC was a sign of the times that in hindsight we now recognize as better times.

I love the look of this car (2drht) best when it is viewed from the rear corner. The roof line and trim is gorgeous.
The Bonneville and Impala are my favorite GM cars for 1958.

Moving on down my Garage Wall, I offer you this "rear corner". Not a 2-drht, but hope it will do.
Or maybe this one will do, even though it is still not a 2-drht. I like it because of the color.

@bob-jackman, they were the stars in the beauty department. On the Chevy's and Bonneville's, it's that roof line that grabs me. Love it!

What beautiful Pontiacs. Back in the day, our next-door neighbor had a 1958 Pontiac ...... and another neighbor two doors down had a 1958 Oldsmobile. In the meantime, my Dad and our family had a 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air !
@georgeschire The roof design and the lines/grooves on the trunk of the 2drht. lid really improve the look of this car. Great colors offered too.
