Boy I sure agree.  I appreciate a more cerebral environment; idiots like Flanders shouldn't be allowed access.

HA!   That was the case for many years but now that FB no longer FACT CHECKS (certain folks prefer this ) the experience can be downright unbearable.   How can anything be considered "productive or worthwhile"  when basic & established facts are no longer acknowledged.    Why bother with comments or engage in discussions; just look at the pretty pictures.    🙄 🙄 🙄

@chris I guess things have really deteriorated, both in fact checking and objectivity in news reporting.  The obvious result is that people lose respect and trust and ignore it all to a large degree....but then what?!!  Walter Cronkite.....rise up pal!

"Walter Cronkite.....rise up pal!"

To say Walter Cronkite would be applaud is the understatement of the 21st Century (so far ).

Can one even imagine Watergate  under the conditions that exist today?   We could write books about how that would've NEVER transpired as it did from 1972-1974 if it occurred today.   In fact, I dare say, it would be nothing more than a "Monday story"  forgotten about by Wednesday morning.     😯 😔 😔

Good Lord do I remember W.C. What a fine news reporter. I especially remember his Moon Landing broadcast.
