This technology has been around for awhile. It always seems to be a few years away. I guess we'll see if it actually works.

Excellent vid, he covered all the bullet points, but I first saw these tires 20+ years ago being tested on military vehicles. I wonder why R&D (etc., etc..) is taking so long. What's the hold up?
Not having spares/jacks in the vehicles I've purchased since 2007, dealing with CRAPPY run-flat harsh rides and periodically repairing "slow leaks" ....
Trust me, I'm ready for these tires!!
-And of course, sidewalls are a must. Can you imagine the "balancing issue disasters" that would certainly arise from this "open" design?
