Still though, Hondas made on Ohio are no more American than Chevrolets manufactured in China are Chinese. It's been a global economy for decades and every company must make the best use of their capital. As one who has never purchased a foreign car (to this day I still have one example form each of "The Big 3" ) I'll freely admit I'm a dinosaur. My loyalty means nothing. Who cares?
Furthermore, as GM & Ford continue to lose global market share, I do predict one day a partnership of necessity to ensure mutual survival. Lastly, if China-brand vehicles, for example BYD, penetrate American shores that could single the biggest "game changer"Â since the VW Bug.
The level of high-tech, quality and value (Rolls Royce & Cadillac features... I'm not kiding! ) all for less than "$33K" with incentives and 10-year warrantees... will simply be too great to pass up for the vast majority of consumers. Â
Nice link John, thanks.
@perrone1 Yes Tony, that is cool .... but I can top it.
I once purchased a new car that was literally built less than 5 minutes from where I lived AND the dealership from which I took delivery was 8 minutes from where I lived.
Naturally, I still paid the hefty destination charge. 🙄 🙄Â
