a black car with a decent stance, I decided to do some edits, just to see the results.
As found:
Cleaned up the background and did some basic dechroming:
More dechroming:
Slimmed the rear bumper and shaved the door handles:
Removed the B pillars, making it a hardtop:
Additional modifications to the rear bumper:
Final rear bumper modification. A hidden addition would be a flip-down mechanism for the rear license plate.
Again, this would not be a car that I would normally modify, but the stance and beautiful black paint lured me into action.
Which one do you like best?
Enjoy!
I like the work you did on the last pic - CLEAN!
As found. I admire your talent Terry but I would never do this to a car like this for real. As you know, I like original cars with all of their details intact.
@bob-jackman: Bob, I agree with you regarding this car. Though I'm a fan of less-is-more, I wouldn't modify a real '49 Roadmaster in this manner.
@perrone1: Thanks, Tony, I appreciate your comments!
@jack-dodds: Thanks, Jack, I was ready to do an edit with the portholes back in place. You disappointed me by not asking for them!
@tldaly Hey Terry....how about some portholes in the last pic? 😋
Those portholes suit your custom design much better than the earlier ones Terry.
