It took me a moment to figure out what was being dug out. Sure initially looked like something mythical or alien. I hope that it survived.

I think the train had a snow plow attachment and it buried the animal; which is why the crew knew it was there. It likely made for the base of the nearby tree for shelter.

In this little corner of the world, where Vodka is considered a food group, I aint buyin`that this moose just HAPPENED to be standing next to the track, obliviously unaware that a 13,000 ton behemoth was just now bearing down upon him...
The aptly titled, Snow Basher XIIIX, seemed fully intent upon qualifying the slovenly quadruped for a posthumous entry into the long running weekly television programme from BBC Alba,"Complete this joke" .....aka....."What was the last thing to run through this bloke`s mind"
