Wow, what a great collection here from Fisher Body !
"The Fisher Body Craftsman's Guild was a national auto design competition sponsored by the Fisher Body Division of General Motors. This competition was for teenagers to compete for college scholarships by designing and building scale model "dream" cars."
So, the models you see were competition entries created by teenagers. When I was in junior high school General Motors Fisher Body reps came to the school to talk about the competition. This was in 1967. If you were interested in competing you could send away for the rule book, a set of tires, and info on when your entry was due and where to send it. I remember designing my car bur never got around to building it. I may still have the booklet and tires somewhere...
Wow, what a great picture. A late friend have one of the Fisher Body Carriages in his collection.
@pete-rovero thank you Pete for sharing your story, it's like the icing on the cake!
