I never order these yuppie javas.  It's not that I don't love how they taste....I just can't remember all those descriptors when trying to order one.

There is one Yuppie Coffee that I like at Starbucks, but I'll be damned if I can remember what it's called.  And trying to describe it only gives a deer in the headlight look on the face of the employees with turquoise hair and pins in their faces.  Not to mention the cost!  I'm not in to paying $7 for a coffee.  So, I got to McDonald's and life is good.  Liking my morning coffee, when the weather is good I walk to the McDonald's two miles away from me and enjoy a cup or two in the morning.

McDonald's Coffee

Don't drink coffee & don't go to McD.  YUCK!

The only thing McDs is good for is the rest room, when on a trip.

I like them! Their menu has changed in recent years and food has improved significantly, particularly their burgers. The coffee is great and the whole menu is affordable.

I like McDonalds as well. I don't visit often, but they do have great coffee. My biggest weakness is the French Fries as well as the Big Mac. I used to love the Big Boy Hamburger more, but since they don't exist in too many places anymore, the Big Mac is a nice substitute.

I go to the arches occasionally and have found that their food has improved a lot in recent years.  I agree John M. that their fries are awesome.  Their coffee has also improved greatly as well.

I like McDonald's coffee.  I like coffee in the morning and during the summer when I can walk to the McDonald's about two miles from my house, I find both the coffee and the walk refreshing.  Once in a blue moon I'll have one of their English muffins with my coffee.  And yes, McDonald's has changed over the years.  In the mornings it's a nice place to just relax with my coffee because it's quiet and peaceful there.  As for any of their other menu items, I'll be honest, I've not eaten one of their hamburgers since the 1980s.  But then, I hardly eat any beef at all, as it doesn't always agree with me.  If I'm in the mood for a hamburger (I make it a cheeseburger), I go to "Five Guys" as I've found their burgers to be the best of any other fast food chain out there.

Coffee is an acquired taste thing.  I started having a cup (or two) in the morning back in my banking/working days.  Seemed with meetings and other such gatherings in the mornings, coffee just went with it.  Since I've been retired the last 15 years now, I enjoy going to restaurants in the morning a couple of days a week with other retirees, and coffee is the perfect companion to share conversation with.  I'm not a addicted to coffee, as I could stop drinking it anytime, but I enjoy it and find it a relaxing way to start each day with.  As I said, it's an acquired taste.

@georgeschire

Most people with addictions claim they can stop any time they want, but they seem to back To the addiction real quick. And Caffeine is know to be addictive.

Love chocolate, as a kid my aunt gave me a hot chocolate that I threwup after my first big gulp, it was MOCA coffee taste,since then I dislike coffee even the smell of it. And yes many a day waiting for people to finish their NECESSARY morning coffee, another reason to dis like it.

I understand about addictions, but I assure you I am NOT addicted to coffee.  I just enjoy it in the morning and many times over the years I've went long periods of time without having it, with no cravings to have it.  LOL, I've never waited for anyone to "finish their NECESSARY morning coffee".  All said, it's okay to not like coffee.  It isn't for everyone.

just had a coffee and hot apple pie at the McDonalds in Racecourse Rd Flemington. Interesting mix of people, primary and secondary school kids, couple of middle aged guys and another about my age (old!).
